This truck is based on PINGAs 2.0 edit of the w900 before he changed up to his 1.38 model. Download mod Rezworth W900 Custom Truck + Interior v1.2 (1.46.x) for ATS American Truck Simulator game. Yes, its still possible that source of your issue is elsewhere, but this is what happens to players most commonly. and if you buy this dumpster fire of a truck and they say they have all kind of legal rights blah blah. in ATS we do not have various sounds for single truck (you cannot change engine to V8 and back as it would help in ETS), so appart of creating fixing mod (one that will forcefully add new correct internal sound accessory), selling the truck is best option.
from this state are only few ways back (depending on what exactly happened). the truck work otherwise as sound is not necessary accessory anymore (i personally wrote this, before it simply crashed the game). this could happen easily by for example loading of truck, due to incorrect mod crashing internal sound accessory creation and then its saved without internal sounds. and the external one is working correctly (as you noted). There are two sound accessories - internal and external. removing mods later wont help as your truck is already broken and was saved as such. If there is incorrect or missing accessory in your truck its saved with your truck info (list of accessories is THE truck).
Sound is inherent part of truck and its definition is truck accessory (like engine or cab), so it is technically truck mod.
